Breakfast/Brunch

BRUNCH IS MY MOST FAVORITE MEAL OF THE WEEK.

I can justify a bit of a drive for brunch.

Brunch means "cheat day" and "day drinking" and drives through the valley.

Brunch is an event.

The Madrona

My happy place. An absolute must. (For everything: cocktails, snacks, breakfast, brunch, lunch, dinner...I swear.)

A swanky spot with beautiful, amazing-tasting food and a lot of style. Bridgerton meets Alice & Wonderland.

Acorn Café*

Quaint café with the usual suspects. Local ingredients.

Cute outdoor dining area with a fireplace.

They make you order/pay at a walk-up counter and then they serve & bus your tables.

This bugs me. But...whatever.

Willowood Market Café*

This place is a well-worth drive to the tiny town of Graton. It defines a "perfect weekend" for me if I get a chance to go. They have a polenta menu, phenomenal mimosas and they serve their lattes in a bowl. Need I say more? I always get either the Market Plate or the Open-faced Salmon Sandwich. Or try to get my husband to get one or the other so I can have both....

There is no perfect time to visit wine-country. Whether a warm day beckons you to outdoor-seating or a cold, rainy day draws you inside a cozy tasting room, you can't go wrong.

Fall? Town is bustling with harvest.

Spring? New vintages have just been released, the valleys are green and the flowers are in full bloom.

Summer? Enjoy bottles of rosé and play some bocce with friends.

Winter? The town is quieter and reservations are easier to acquire.
