I love to travel. But I hate going somewhere new and not knowing where to go or what to do.

 

For me, it's not just about legit food and wine. I want the ambience and the service. I want it to be memorable. I want to be inspired to take pictures of the moment and post them on social media. I want to leave thinking, "I can't wait to go back..." and wake up the next day and look forward to telling everyone about it. And when I open a bottle of that wine again or see my photos of that great day, 

I want to remember that experience and talk about it.  

 

I was born here. Back when the only reason we went to Healdsburg was to take our trash to the dumps, buy tools at the hardware store or eat pizza at Giorgio's (and play on their porch swings, balance on their balconies and coax their ferrel cats to let us pet them). And I witnessed, first-hand, the boom of the wine-industry in Sonoma County and the influx of phenomenal restaurants and tasting rooms.

 

And I loved it.

 

When all my friends were planning trips to Vegas for their 21st birthdays, I wanted a wine-tasting day with my besties.

And I wanted to learn.

 

I'll never forget that day. My first wine-tasting lesson. I was at Viansa in Sonoma. And this lovely woman hosted the seven of us in a tent on their rainy back terrace. And she taught us how when you swirl the wine, you "volatize the esters".

That day was a pivotal point in my life.

 

I'm so intensely passionate about this county and what it has to offer. I make it a personal mission to ensure people I host have the best time when they're here.

 

That's why I built this site.
